Annual Fall Convergence Themes and Panels Announced!

Sep 15, 2026

We’re pleased to finally announce the theme and panels for this year’s Fall Convergence! This annual gathering brings together local and international writers, artists, and thinkers for a weekend of interdisciplinary readings and conversations on the topic of Inspiration & Collaboration, approaching the topic via three panels: Writing with Images & Imaginaries, Mythopoetics Today, and Inspiration, Collaboration, and Response.
Friday, October 2nd will kick off the event at Kane Hall on UW’s main campus in the Walker-Ames Room. This reading will introduce our participants as they read their work. We are excited to be collaborating with the main campus to put on this event and expect a cozy and unique atmosphere in their School of Music. Hosted in part by Gamut Literary Series.
On Saturday, October 3rd, we’ll hold our Convergence Panels at the North Creek Event Center on UW-Bothell’s campus with a Keynote Speech by Rae Armantrout, Where Poems Come From.
We are truly thrilled to host this event and its theme, Inspiration & Collaboration, this year and we look forward to seeing you there in this spirit of collective thought. Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be introducing all our participants in more detail!
This event is free and open to the public. We do ask that you register in the link in our bio in order for us to be able to anticipate an accurate count for our catered lunch. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions to our MFA program liaisons at [email protected]
